On the 16th September 2011 DoSomethingDifferent.com were the proud headline sponsors of Travel Weekly's 2011 Northern Ball. DoSomethingDifferent.com headed Bolton bound to the De Vere Whites Hotel to attend the biggest trade event on the travel indsutry calendar for agents outside of London.

More than six hundred guests attended the Northern Ball, embracing the 'A Night at the Movies' theme, dressed up in celebrity style as their favourite Hollywood star. DoSomethingDifferent.com adopted a super hero theme; Head of Sales Lee Burns attended as Spiderman, Business Development Manager Annabel Cove attended as Captain America Girl and Managing Director Chris Bradshaw attended as Flash Gordon.

The Super hero clad Do Something Different team entertained over twenty agents and ensured that each agent left with a goody bag packed full to the brim with Universal, SeaWorld and Walt Disney World Resort merchandise. "It was a surreal but fantastic night. Meeting our key retail partners dressed predominately in Lycra was a great ice breaker. As headline sponsors we had a great platform to tell agents why they should be looking nowhere else but DoSomethingDifferent.com for all their attractions and experiences,' said Do Something Different's Annabel Cove. The night continued with all the glitz and glamour expected at a celebrity soiree. Guests hob nobbed amongst the likes of Johnny Depp and Will Smith lookalikes and X Factor winner Alexandra Burke took to the stage, performing for the lively celebrity costumed crowd. It most certainly was a night to go down in travel trade history.
